Attitudes and Perceptions Towards Cultured Meat Among General Population in Pakistan

Meat demand and production are under strain because of their effect on the atmosphere, animal welfare, growing for proteins worldwide. Cultured meat (CM) is now an industry, politics, society's hot subject. While understanding effects rise, opposition to removal from our diets remains. One alternative way alleviating these consequences by producing in vitro meat. A pre-coded questionnaire was used poll Pakistani population views acceptance laboratory-cultured The CM among poor at 27.1%. About one-third respondents showed positive attitudes concerns towards were willing consume its substitute products. Participants more sensitive, concerning safety, ethical issues, nutritional value, other health-related concerns. Since less likely accept CM, government stakeholders should address this problem through media campaigns clear people's misconceptions regarding safety preservation environment meeting protein.
